Just been to the US and back. One of my few stops were in Chicago, with at bunch of other street photographers. We spent an good hour or so at Crown fountain in Millennium park. Great fun, especially as is was very hot +90F/+30C. Enjoy the joy.
In a few weeks I’ll be back again. Last time it was for Thanksgiving and the November wind was less forgiving.
This time it’ll be summer and we’ll be approximately 12 Swedish Street photographers, staying for a long weekend. Me, I’ll first visit my family in Indy (Indianapolis). Seeing them again is a must, but after that I’ll indulge in all of the more or less dramatic Chicago scenes. See you there?
On the street, it doesn’t have to be perfect. The emotions count, no matter how technically good you are. So, sometimes I like it to be not only rough and somewhat “unfinished”, but also out of focus. It works as it is.
Such a fantastic place, the Loop area in Chicago and its elevated trains. At it, under it, up towards it or down from the trains there are natural set “stages” all over. The lighting is magic and the people are intriguing.
Silly or not, I’m glad that someone else like to share my pics. Sometimes (on Instagram) I add the hashtag #Shootoff and some of those pics get shared. These are the latest nine pics that got shared by Shootoff. And my normal 20-40 likes/pic add upp to a little more. Nice.
Can you guess which of these nine that got the highest acclaim?
